Ahhhh the Quiet!!

Don't you just love the freedom of knowing that you are naughty and that no one is around to see you doing it!! I have the house to myself. One of those rare nights that Hubby is still at work....Hannah is out having dinner with her in laws, Matthew is at a sleep over...and I am doing something that drives my Hubby insane and the kiddies are always getting told off for!! yay!!! I love being a 'growed up'!!!! I have all of the Family room lights on, as I am painting some Halloween pictures on to fabric, BUT.....I am also watching Season 1 of Felicity on the tv but, I have it paused and on mute, because I am also watching Jane Eyre on the computer AND I have the stereo blasting while I paint!!! Loudly belting out Madonna 'Sorry' and my Chemical Romance 'I don't love you' with just a touch of Linkin Park 'What I've Done'.......yay...oh the freedom of being able to wander from happy place to happy place!! Watch an episode of Felicity, watch 20 minutes of Jane Eyre, paint for 30 minutes....I have been doing this for almost 4 hours now!! Sadly.....2 of the people I share a house with (Dear Hubby and Dear Daughter) will both be arriving home within the hour, so I shall have to pick ONE thing to do, and stick with it!!! Eeeek....which to choose!!! Well off to enjoy the last few moments of freedom!!

Spring!!

Spring is almost here!! Part of me is a little excited....part of me..hmmmm...not so much!! Visions of gardens blooming, and gorgeous flowers bursting out, gets me alittle excited about heading down to the nursery and spening wads of cash buying all of the new seedlings. The part of me that is not excited...is the hayfever suffer!! I hate hatefever....we all suffer from it, watching my 13 year old sitting on the couch rubbing and rubbing his eyes until he looks like I have beat him, it's awful!! I have to have the yard man (Andy, you are wonderful!!!) come in and do the yard as poor Hubby will just sneeze and sneeze and sneeze some more if I make him go and do it. But, with Spring comes new signs!!! Of course!!! Totally stoked at how they have turned out......all of them are 24 inches x 6 inches, and you can check them out on The Choclate Crow Trader this month!!!

Well.....

So here it is. My first post. I swore I would never do it. And yet....here I sit, with my new blog. I have sooooooo much else to do, like I totally have time for this. And I hate HTML.....looks like I am going to have to dust off that section of my brain, so that I can add all the bells and whistles to this thing. Moan as I might, I have to say, I am very blessed to be in a postition to do what I do. I am very fortunate that I have a hubby who is happy for me to do 'whatever'. He makes all of the wooden things that I decide I must simply have, even tho he is convinced he cannot do it, as I think it is all sooo easy.....I can do most things but, big power tools kinda scare the crap outta me....I can just see my lovely white skin turning all bloody and mangled when using the big drop saw *shudder* Thank heavens for Hubby's!!! I would love to be able to do folk art.....but, sadly what I see in my mind is absolutly NOTHING like the piece I end up with......which discourages me from practicing!! We have a huge range of rustic timber signs available and I love painting those, but, the skill required for those is a little less hahaha....I love all things check and primitive, I buy most of my fabric from the USA, as the range of check homespuns is MASSIVE compared to what we can get down here......but, I really don't like to use it!! Well...I really don't like to use ANY of my fabric really...fabric is for collecting and kepping folded up in stashes not, for cutting or tearing!! Sacreligious!! Well......I do plan on adding more info, showing off some of the new signs we have coming in store, and maybe.....rambling on a little, even showing some pictures of homes that I think are outstanding.....just maybe!! But, thats it for now...time to start the whole 'Tea' thing!! Take care!! x x x me
